Legal & General (LGIM) data from any ISIN

Legal & General Investment Management runs the Irish-domiciled L&G UCITS ETF range (thematic products such as ROBO Global Robotics and Automation, Cyber Security and Clean Energy, plus index trackers), UK unit trusts and Luxembourg / Irish SICAV and ICAV funds.

What the API returns for Legal & General (LGIM) products

Sections marked as covered are populated for the large majority of Legal & General (LGIM) share classes; the others depend on what the specific document set discloses. Use data.dataAsOf for the document date.

Example ISINs

Publicly listed share classes you can use to explore the payload shape (example identifiers, not recommendations):
IE00BMW3QX54L&G ROBO Global Robotics and Automation UCITS ETF USD Acc
IE00BYPLS672L&G Cyber Security UCITS ETF USD Acc
curl https://fundfactsapi.com/api/v1/funds/IE00BMW3QX54 \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer ffk_your_key"

The L&G fund centre serves every share class as a server-rendered page whose script block carries the full page model as JSON. The API reads that model: key facts, TER / OCF, the fund aim, the top-ten holdings, sector, country, asset-class and rating splits, calendar-year returns and a month-by-month return table for the fund and its benchmark since launch, from which indexedPerformance and the risk metrics are built. Only the private-investor audience is used, so no disclaimer needs to be accepted.

Documents are not fetched

The fund centre's robots.txt disallows the paths where every factsheet, KID and the daily holdings CSV live, and the API respects it. Consequences: riskRating is derived from three-year volatility instead of the KID's SRI (flagged in notes), the NAV series is monthly rather than daily, and topHoldings is the top ten from the page model rather than the full CSV.

Beyond ETFs

Unit trusts and SICAV / ICAV classes offered to retail investors go through the same page model and return the same sections.

Frequently asked questions

Is FundFacts API affiliated with Legal & General (LGIM)?

No. FundFacts API is an independent service. It reads the documents Legal & General (LGIM) publishes for its funds (factsheets, key information documents, holdings files and product pages) and returns the figures as structured JSON. Legal & General (LGIM) does not sponsor, endorse or review this service.

Which Legal & General (LGIM) share classes are supported?

Any share class that has a public product page or document set in the issuer's fund centre. Each share class has its own ISIN, so request the exact ISIN you hold or display; an accumulating and a distributing class of the same fund return different key facts, fees and performance.

How fresh is the data?

Every ISIN is reloaded from the issuer's current documents at most every 24 hours. The response carries generatedAt and expiresAt, and data.dataAsOf reflects the as-of date printed in the document itself, which for monthly factsheets is typically the previous month end.

Why is the risk indicator for L&G products marked as derived?

The KID sits under a path the fund centre's robots.txt disallows, so it is not read. The API derives riskRating from the three-year volatility of the monthly series using the SRRI bands and says so in notes; verify against the KID if you display the regulatory figure.
